Henrietta T. Brace

Henrietta T. Brace, (nee Bahr), age 81, of West Bend, passed away on Friday, May 30th, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 30, 1927 in the town of Farmington to the late Bernhard and Marie (nee Esser) Bahr and was united in marriage to Wilbur C. Brace. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1991. Henrietta enjoyed working as a cook and baker at St. Joseph's community Hospital in West Bend. When she wasn't working she loved being in her flowerbeds and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and Jigsaw puzzles. Henrietta's family was important to her and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Henrietta is survived by 9 loving children, Roger (Patricia) Brace, Linda Bird, Sharon Kreis, Bonnie (Mark) Bird, Beverly Brace, Randall (Bonnie) Brace, Richard (Dawn) Brace, Christine (Stephen) Wendelborn, and Charles (Janice) Brace; and 23 grandchildren, Michael (Sarah) Brace, Tami Brace, Jennifer Brace, Daniel (Stephanie) Bird, Sheila Bird, Sarah Bird, Dawn (Mark) Spaeth, Kari (Richard) Boylen, Holly Kreis, Timothy (Tanya) Bird, Pamela Bird, Cindy Bird, Kelly (FiancAC.e Chad Doede) Brace, Amy Brace, David Brace, Douglas Brace, Adam Brace, Austin Brace, Nathan Wendelborn, Nicholas Wendelborn, Brian Wendelborn, Tyler Wendelborn, and Travis Brace. She is further survived by 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernice Lentz; a brother-in-law, Harry Ramthum; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernhard and Marie (nee Esser) Bahr; her son, Ronald Brace; two sons-in-law, Roger Bird, and Louie Kreis; two grandsons, Ronnie John Brace, and Billy Brace; her great-granddaughter, Destiny Schaefer; her sister, Marie Ramthum; and her brother-in-law, Victor Lentz.

A Mass of Christian Burial in honor of Henrietta will be held on Wednesday, June 4, at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception (1610 Monroe St. West Bend, WI 53090). Father Michael Moran will be the celebrant and burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 3, at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home in West Bend from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm with a Prayer Vigil at 7:00 pm. Visitation will also be on Wednesday at the funeral home only from 9:00 am -10:00 am with closing of the casket prayers at 10:00 am.
