Henry P. Naab, age 80, of West Bend, died Friday August 19, 2005 at his residence.
He was born on March 26, 1925 in Richfield to the late George and Lillie (nee Mauer) Naab and was united in marriage to May Klumb on June 24, 1950 at Christ Church in Dheinsville. They moved to West Bend in 1956.
Henry started at the West Bend Company in 1947 and worked there his entire career until his retirement in the early 1980s. He was a member of New Hope U.C.C. in Jackson, the 25-year club of the West Bend Company, Young at Heart, Jackson Seniors, and had been on the board of the West Bend Senior Center. Henry enjoyed bowling, golf, woodworking, sheepshead, exercising at the YMCA, and deer hunting with his friends in the north woods.
He is survived by his wife, May; three children, Steven (Carol) Naab of Lodi, Bryan (Marcia) Naab of Madison, and Kristine (James) Verdin of Sioux Falls, SD; eight grandchildren, Dan Naab of Madison, Bill Naab of La Crosse, Peter and Andrew Verdin of Minneapolis, MN, Mark Verdin of Sioux Falls, SD, Elizabeth, Rebecca, and Jenna Naab of Madison; a sister, Dorothy Naab of Richfield; his mother-in-law, Eunice Klumb of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen "Kathy" Ann Naab; a sister, Emma Naab, and two brothers, Rudy and Alvin.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 27 at 11:00 am at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. James Hill and Chaplin Cheryl Matusiak will co-officiate. A reception to share memories and luncheon will follow. Cremation took place at Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral & Cremation Service and burial of his cremated remains will be in Washington County Memorial Park.
