Henry C. Teders, 83, a long time resident of West Bend, entered into eternal life after a sudden, but brief illness, on November 25, 2011.
Henry was born April 18, 1928 to the late Joseph and Beatrice (nee Krienbrink) Teders. He grew up as a farm boy from the fields of Avilla, Indiana in a family of nine children. He was a man of honor, serving our country as a sergeant in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict from 1950-1952. He was a dedicated employee at the West Bend Company for 37 years, retiring in 1987.
Henry married his soul mate, Shirley Ann Koller in 1950 and he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who cared for his family with the love and dedication our Heavenly Father has for all of his children on earth. We are all blessed as we carry with us his never-ending legacy of love.
Henry will be forever remembered by his devoted wife of 61 years, Shirley; seven beloved children, Steven (Rosanne) Teders, Michael (Connie) Teders, Marie (Leonard) Thibault, Kathy (Ron) Vorpahl, Debbie (Chuck) Wilfer, Linda (Clarke) Ainley, and Chuck Teders; 11 grandchildren, Jessica (Matt) Knauss, Rachel Teders, Katherine and Sarah Thibault, Aaron (Erica) Vorpahl, Aleah Vorpahl, Abbey (Todd) Wright, Charlie (Emily) Wilfer, Samuel and John Ainley, and Alisha (Gabe) Rice; a great-grandson, Benjamin Wright; a brother, Herman (Harriet) Teders; four sisters, Theresa (Francis) Meyer, Alice Meyer, Henrietta (Bob) Harris and Lucy (Mike) Higginbotham; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Leo (Lois) Teders, two sisters, Maryanne (Glen) Fike, Betty Teders, and a brother-in-law, Bud Meyer.
Funeral services in remembrance of Henry will be held on Monday, November 28 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N. 8th Ave., West Bend, and burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
