Herbert “Herb” N. Goschey, 83, of West Bend, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at Cedar Community, West Bend.
He was born on December 28, 1931 to the late Joseph and Edna (nee Birkholz) in Fredonia, WI. On June 20, 1958 he was united in marriage to Nancy Fromm at Trinity Lutheran Church, West Bend. Herb worked at Mercury Marine for 39 years until he retired in 1995. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed vacationing out west, fishing, hunting, and traveling with friends down to the casino. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Those Herb leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 57 years, Nancy; two sons, Jim (Laura) Goschey of Naperville, IL and Rick (Julie) Goschey of Crystal Lake, IL; seven grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Goschey, Ashley Goschey, Kathrine Goschey, Timmothy Goschey, Brittany (Cory) Graham, Zachary Goschey, and Hannah Goschey; one great-grandchild, Hunter Graham; sister, Beulah Nothem; daughter in law, Joanne Goschey; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death include his parents; son, Terry Goschey; sisters, Marcella (Vernon) Heider and Esther (Frank) Gray; brother, Edwin Goschey; and brother in law, Ralph Nothem.
A memorial service in remembrance of Herb will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, (1315 W. Washington St.) West Bend.
Herb’s family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Washington County Humane Society and Trinity Lutheran Church are appreciated by the family.
