Hugh E. “Mick” Rutherford III, 60, of the town of Auburn, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on December 12, 1948, in Milwaukee, the son of Hugh E. and MaryAnn (Seelow) Rutherford, Jr. and on September 25, 1971, he was united in marriage to Diane Mettel in Milwaukee.
Mick served his country in the U. S. Marines during the Vietnam War, and he was a member of the Union Rod and Gun Club in rural Kewaskum.
He will fondly be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing and boating. Mick enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing poker and cards. He will be deeply missed by his wife, his family and by all who knew him.
Those Mick leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Diane; four children, JodieLee (Jeremy) Coronado and Lorie Rutherford both of Kewaskum, Karie Ann (John) Gadouas of West Bend and Cory Rutherford of Campbellsport; his parents, Hugh E. and MaryAnn Rutherford, Jr. of Arbor Vitae; a sister, Mclinda (Gregory) Dienberg of Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Dylan Maechtle, Jade Danielson, Dakota Krueger, Dezerae Rutherford, Sybil Gadouas and Raymon Coronado, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mick were held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2009, at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum with Rev. Mark Eckert officiating. Military honor rites performed by members of the Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post 384 Kewaskum followed the service. Cremation took place.
Relatives and friends called on Saturday at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.
