Hugo W. Tesch, age 77, of West Bend, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday June 10, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Town of Polk.
Hugo was born on February 2, 1936 in Milwaukee to the late Hugo and Martha (nee Koenig) Tesch. Hugo Graduated from Rufus King High School in Milwaukee. His schooling continued at the University of Wisconsin - Madison where he earned a degree in Engineering. Hugo then continued to earn his masters in engineering.
Hugo was united in marriage to Gloria Heffel at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Milwaukee on February 11, 1961.
He worked at Globe union in Milwaukee, which is now Johnson Controls, for many years. Hugo then moved out to California to be president of Elpower Corp. and then to Colorado working for the Gates company. There he developed and patented a battery that is used in todays fighter planes.
Hugo and his family returned to Wisconsin after his retirement in 1993. Hugo enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially spending quality time with his family.
Hugo is survived by his wife, Gloria; his son, Kevin (Carissa) Tesch of West Bend; his granddaughter, Regan Tesch; four sisters-in-law, Pat Tesch of Menomonee Falls, Evelyn Heffel of Beloit, Betty Schwarz of Janesville, and Barbara Liddle of Charlotte, NC; his brother-in-law, Ed (Norma) Heffel of Beloit; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Allen Tesch; and his three brothers-in-law, William Heffel, Don Schwarz, and Cliff Liddle.
A private family memorial service in remembrance of Hugo will be held at a later date.
