Ida Earlene Anderson, (nee Robbins), age 83, of West Bend, passed away Wednesday August 30, 2006 at her home.
She was born on May 19, 1923 in Buckville, AR to the late Edd and Willie (nee Gossett) Robbins and was united in marriage to Everett Anderson on January 27, 1946 in Quincy, FL. Together they made their home in Manistique, MI until moving to West Bend in 1955.
Earlene enjoyed sewing and worked as a seamstress for both JC Penny's and Ley's Department Stores in West Bend. She also enjoyed reading and her garden. Earlene always looked forward to the family reunions at their cottage in Minocqua. She was a member of First Baptist Church in West Bend.
Earlene is survived by her husband of 60 years, Everett; seven children, Dale (Margaret) Anderson of Osseo, MN, Rev. Edwin (Virginia) Anderson of Omaha, NE, David (Gail) Anderson of Champlin, MN, Gail Anderson of West Bend, Elaine (Mike) Fleetwood of Indianapolis, IN, Ronald (Jean) Anderson of Tupelo, MS, and Robert (Janice Kay) Anderson of Pleasant Hill, MO; 24 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ed (Eleanor) Robbins Jr. of Davison, MI, Bob Robbins of Cedar Hill, MO, and Fred (Ruth) Robbins of Hazel Green, AL; a sister-in-law Linnea (Fred) Melius of Slinger; four brothers-in-law, Verner (Helen) Anderson of Manistique, MI, Birger (Pauline) Anderson of Altha, FL, Mauritz Anderson of Jacksonville, FL, and Roy (Lila) Anderson of Jackson; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Francis Melton, along with two brothers, Robert Robbins and Harold Dean Robbins.
Funeral services to remember Earlene's life will be held on Saturday September 2nd at 1:30 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. Edwin Anderson and Rev. Bruce Dunford will co-officiate. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Memorials to First Baptist Church Building Fund are appreciated.
