Ilma Hilgendorf

Ilma Hilgendorf, 85, of West Bend, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2006 at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center.

She was born on Dec. 6, 1920 in Mequon to the late Otto and Emma (nee Gierach) Hilgendorf. Ilma worked as a court reporter in Richland Center for several years until moving to West Bend to work at the Washington County Courthouse where she was employed for 30 years until her retirement. She was a long-time member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend. She enjoyed her quilting club and other social clubs.

She is survived by a niece, Pam Dunker of Sacramento, CA; four nephews, Bob (Nancy) Hilgendorf of Germantown, Bill (Cindy) Hilgendorf of Cedarburg, Tom (Pam) Hilgendorf of Ashland, KY, and Jeff (Michiko) Dunker of Garden Grove, CA; a sister-in-law, Gloria Hilgendorf of Grafton; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Dunker, and two brothers, Norvin Hilgendorf and Arno Hilgendorf.

Funeral services will held on Friday, November 10 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 809 S. 6th Ave., West Bend. Rev. Robert Hoehner will officiate and entombment will follow at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
