Imelda "Melly" Mary (Klink) Algiers

September 23, 1933 — December 30, 2024

Imelda “Melly” Algiers (Klink), 91, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 30, 2024, with her family by her side.

Melly was born on September 23, 1933, in Rubicon to the late Henry and Frances (Christ) Klink. Melly was united in marriage to Charles G. Algiers on October 7, 1961, at St. Kilian Catholic Church in Hartford.

She was a very selfless woman who gave of herself to help others. Melly was a true community giver with organizations such as Meals on Wheels, St. Matthews Catholic School exercise program, took several mission trips to Haiti with St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, organized the blood bank in Campbellsport, volunteered at Holy Hill Basilica, and worked at the YMCA in West Bend. Above all, she was the ultimate loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Melly will be missed by many.

Those Melly leaves behind to cherish her memory include three children, Renee (Steve) Mueller of Frisco, TX, Charles “Chuck” (Lisa) Algiers of New Castle, PA, and Chris Algiers of West Bend, WI; one grandchild, Ian Algiers (Mara Blessinger); great-granddaughter, Monroe Algiers; three sisters-in-law, Pat Klink, Marcia Algiers, and Betty Algiers; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband Chuck, Melly is preceded in death by her siblings, Sister Dolores “Henrietta” Klink, Harold (Dorothy) Klink, Lorraine (Carl) Stippich, Henry (Margie) Klink, Margaret (Gene) Nelson, Frances (Chubby) Frank, Colette (Bill) Daubner, and Gerald Klink; in-laws, Dr. James (Dorothy) Algiers, Dr. Norbert Algiers, Dr. Lawerence Algiers, Rosalie (Jack) Penland, Mary (Roger) Orhmund.

VISITATION: Melly’s family will receive relatives and friends in a period of visitation on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m., until 12:00 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church (1025 S. 7th Avenue, West Bend).
