Irene R. Fischer, (nee Bremer), age 87, of West Bend, passed away Thursday July 9, 2015 at her home.
She was born on April 14, 1928 in Milwaukee to the late Arthur and Lillian (nee Bergman) Bremer. Irene attended North Division High School in Milwaukee and graduated from Chilton High School in the class of 1946.
On January 2, 1947 Irene was united in marriage to Frederick Fischer in San Diego, CA. They made their home in Milwaukee. Irene worked as a real estate broker for Sampson Real Estate. In 1974 they moved to West Bend and became members of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church.
She is Survived by two daughters, Terry Cotts of Philadelphia, TN, and Bonnie Christiansen of West Bend; five grandchildren, Andrew Cotts, David Cotts, Joel Christiansen, Adam Christiansen, and Hanah Christiansen; other relatives and friends.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lillian; and her husband, Frederick in 1987.
Private family graveside services in remembrance of Irene will be held in Opitz Cemetery, Mequon.
Memorials in memory of Irene made be directed to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend.
