Irmtraut Stockhausen

Irmtraut H. "Trautie" Stockhausen, nee Deuber, age 83, of West Bend, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.

She was born on November 17, 1928 in Germany to the late Fritz and Minna (nee Kortemeyer) Deuber. In 1951, Irmtraut came to the United States and Milwaukee became her home. On September 27, 1952, she was united in marriage to Cyril Stockhausen at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Cyril preceded her in death on January 28, 2001.

Trautie worked at the Amity Leather Company for 25 years, retiring in 1992.

She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, and the Amity 25 year club. Trautie enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, and sewing. Mostly she loved her family and enjoyed caring for them all. For several years Trautie has been known for hosting daily "Oma breakfasts" for all who came.

She is survived by her five children, Barbara (John Adams) Stockhausen of Platteville, Krista Stockhausen of West Bend, Ursula (Gary) Waala of West Bend, Dean (Lisa) Stockhausen of Kewaskum, and Lisa (David) Dougherty of West Bend; 12 grandchildren, Gregory (Brittany) Adams, Christian (Kelly) Waala, Dana (Zachary) Schlueter, Amy Waala, Kara Waala, Erin (Augustine) Stockhausen-Doe, Shannon (Derek) Dorn, Ross Stockhausen, Mitchell (Amanda) Dougherty, Kyle Dougherty, Connor Dougherty, and Anna Rose Dougherty; two step-grandchildren, Ellen (Todd) Jones, and Beth (James) Ostrem; nine great-grandchildren, Hunter, Parker, and Emma Schlueter, Grace and Jack Waala, Madelyn and Mason Dorn, Ava Dougherty, Amaya Doe; five step great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Robert, and Christopher Jones, Joshua and Sara Ostrem; sister, Ingrid Mueller of Kewaskum; two sisters-in-law, Arlene Deuber of New Albany, IN, and Bernadine Wollner of West Bend; three brothers-in-law, Vincent (Janet) Stockhausen of West Bend, and Merlin (Donna) Stockhausen of West Bend, and Fritz Luebekke of Detmold, Germany; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cyril; son, Dale; grandson, Grant; sister, Edith Luebekke; and brother, George Deuber.

A Mass of Christian burial in remembrance of Trautie will be held on Saturday, March 17th at 1:00 pm at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N. 8th Avenue, West Bend with Rev. Gerald Brittain presiding. Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the mass.
