Jack I. Belsky, 81, of West Bend, WI, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon, WI.
Jack was born on April 25, 1932 in Chicago, IL, to the late John and Lillian (nee Baumgarten) Belsky. He served in the U.S. Navy in Korea. On July 26, 1970, Jack married Barbara Buras in DuPage County, IL. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Chicago, IL, for a short time. They then lived in Irvine, CA, for a while before moving back to Glen Ellyn, IL, and then to Whitefish Bay, WI were they lived for many years, before moving to West Bend, WI, in September 2013.
Jack began working in the printing ink industry in 1949. He worked in the industry for over 50 years and was employed as the President of Prism Printing Ink Co. in West Allis, WI, for many years. Jack and Barbara were avid travelers and Jack also enjoyed collecting stamps.
Jack is survived by his wife, Barbara; four children, Michael Belsky of Riverside, CA, Karen Belsky of Janesville, WI, Tammy (Randy) Koenig of West Bend, WI, and David (Miracle) Belsky of Riverside, CA; five grandchildren, Brandon Belsky, Christian Belsky, Nicole Koenig, Mindy (Luke) Wilhelm, and Kristyn (Brandon) Kaehler; two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Aubrey Kaehler; a brother, Ronald (Linda) Belsky of Plymouth, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Belsky.
A memorial service in remembrance of Jack will be held on Monday, December 9 at 6:00 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend, WI. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital would be appreciated.
