Jack C. Lesser, 80, of Theresa, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mayville.
He was born on June 20, 1931, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Charles and Genevieve (Mistele) Lesser and on July 14, 1956, he was united in marriage to Claudette Hansen in Big Bend.
Jack served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Iron Workers Local Union 8 and St. Theresa Catholic Church in Theresa.
Jack will fondly be remembered for the enjoyment he received working in the yard, being outdoors and puttzing in the garage.
Those Jack leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 55 years, Claudette; three children, Yvonne (Brian) Pluta of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Yvette (Paul) Hurtgen of Pewaukee and Charles (Jo Ann) Lesser of Francis Creek; seven grandchildren, Jake and Jackie Lesser, Olivia, Nick, Jack, Jessica and Melanie Hurtgen, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Ann (Paul) Radke.
A Memorial Service for Jack was held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira. Burial of his cremains, with military honor rites performed by members of the Theresa American Legion Post 270, followed in St. Theresa Memorial Gardens in Theresa.
Jack’s family received relatives and friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
