Jacqueline Kasten

October 21, 1923 — February 1, 2011

Jacqueline E. Kasten, nee Johnson, age 87, of West Bend, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at the Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.

She was born on October 21, 1923 in Clintonville to the late John and Sophia (nee Hoag) Johnson. On October 9, 1943 Jacqueline was united in marriage to John Kasten in Milwaukee.

Jacqueline was a member of Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church and their Alter Guild. She was also a member of the West Bend Country Club. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and around the world.

She is survived by her husband, John, of West Bend; two children, Toni (William) Bauman and David (Marilyn) Kasten, both of West Bend; son-in-law, Charles Susmilch of Madison; six grandchildren, Ami (Manuel) deJoya, Christian Bauman, Anne (Greg) Chism, Tim Fellenz, Michael (Michaelle) Kasten and Craig Kasten; five great-grandchildren, Evan and Megan deJoya, Aidan and Becca Bauman and Aaron Hilgers; two sisters, Shirley Hanson of Clintonville and Florence Olson of Des Moines, IA; other relatives, and friends.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Barbara Susmilch and two sisters, Kathryn Eulrich and Dorothy Seitz.

Funeral services in remembrance of Jacqueline will be held Monday, February 7th at 1:30 p.m. at Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church, 462 Meadowbrook Drive, West Bend. Rev. Joseph Fisher and Rev. Christopher Raffa will officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park.
