James T. Bachman, age 60, of West Bend, passed away on Friday April 17, 2009 at his residence.
He was born on November 15, 1948 in Milwaukee to the late Donald and Gertrude (nee Weeks) Bachman. Jim honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and he also served in the National Guard for 20 years achieving the rank of Sgt. First Class.
On August 11, 1973 he was united in marriage to Christine Hull in Menomonee Falls. He worked at A.O. Smith/Tower for 30 years and then at Lift Truck Specialists in Menomonee Falls.
He is survived by his wife Christine; two daughters, Shannon (Bill) Walsh of West Bend, Dawn Bachman (fiancAC. Michael Buglaski) of Fox Point; two grandchildren, Callista and Christian Walsh; four sisters, Jane Bachman, Mary Bachman, Karan Linke and Ann (Jim) Toomey; a brother, David (Doreen) Bachman; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Diane Werner; and two brothers, Donald Bachman and Paul Bachman.
A funeral service in remembrance of Jim will be held on Thursday, April 23rd at 7:00 p.m. at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington Street, West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be Friday, April 24th at 12:00 p.m. in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove.
