James “Jim” Strupp, age 68 years, of West Bend was called home to be with the Lord on March 24, 2025, at Froedtert West Bend Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was born on March 10, 1957, in West Bend to Leroy and Sally Strupp (Kuechler). He was united in marriage to Anna Tomasek on April 15, 2002, in West Bend.
Jim graduated from Slinger High School in 1975. He was a jack of all trades, wearing many hats. He did everything from cooking to construction to owning a campground. He rounded it all off by spending over twenty years working in maintenance for the Cedar Community.
Jim was a volunteer firefighter and EMT for over twenty years. He loved helping people in his community.
Jim’s favorite hobby was fishing on Lake Winnebago or Big Arbor Vitae Lake. He loved being outdoors whether he was relaxing by the water or working in the garden.
He liked to keep busy, sometimes working two or three jobs at a time. He finally found a way to keep moving while relaxing on cruise ships. He and his wife, Anna, spent as much time cruising the Caribbean as possible and enjoying life.
Jim was a dedicated father and grandfather. He never missed a basketball game or school musical. Always making sure he was there to cheer them on.
Jim was a loving and caring husband. He made sure he took care of all the needs of his wife, Anna. They would have been celebrating 23 years of marriage this year. No one could have asked for a better husband. He was the love of Anna’s life. Their love for each other will live on for a lifetime.
Those Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Anna; three children, Jaydee (John) Fellenz, Jody (Kristin) Strupp, and Justin (Rebecca) Mahan-Stupp; three granddaughters, Audrey, Gabby, and Dulcinea; and his mother, Sally Strupp. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Strupp.
The family invites you to join them in celebrating Jim’s life on Tuesday, April 8th from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at The Brazen Head Pub in West Bend.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Froedtert West Bend Hospital for their care and compassion.
