James "Jim" Kreis, passed away peacefully at his home, at the age of 87 on March 8, 2012.
He was born on February 12, 1925 in Milwaukee to the late Fred and Adeline (nee Krachtt) Kreis. On October 8, 1951 Jim was united in marriage to Camilla Schloemer in West Bend.
In 1968, Jim founded Jim's Auto Body and in 1981, he passed the business on to his two sons, Peter and Ralph, and continued to remain active in the business.
Jim is survived by his wife, Camilla Kreis; six children, Jim (Terry) Kreis, Marilyn (Willie) Roell, Tom (Pat) Kreis, Peter (Diane) Kreis, Ralph (Sharon) Kreis, and Penny Kreis; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Jane (Cliff) Llewellyn; and many other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, 9 brothers, and two sisters.
Visitation will be at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend on Sunday, March 11th from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm. Rev. Luke Emrich will officiate. A private family burial will take place in Washington County Memorial Park.
