James J. "Jim" Pierner

James J. “Jim” Pierner, 71, of Lomira, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011, at his home.


He was born on January 18, 1940, in Cedarburg, the son of the late John and Marcella (Barth) Pierner, and on January 20, 1962, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Frantl in Sussex. Jim and Marilyn would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in January.


Jim loved to go hunting and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.


Those Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Kim Gordon (special friend, William Esselmann) of Cedarburg and Lisa Anderson (special friend, Ted Lamers) of Theresa; five grandchildren, Kelly Gordon (special friend, David Miller), Patrick Gordon, Timothy Pierner (special friend, Tracy Vettori), Ethan and Scott Moen; six great-grandchildren, Dawson, Theron, Madelyn, Emilie, Jax and Samara; a cousin, Joanne Kuhn of Cedarburg; an aunt, Margaret Wollner of Germantown, other relatives and friends.


In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother, John (Dawn) Pierner.


A memorial service for James was held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira. Father Jerome Rinzel officiated and burial of Jim’s cremains was on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Resurrection Cemetery in Mequon.


The family received visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service.
