James “Jim” D. Rahlf, 63, of Kewaskum, entered eternal life on Sunday, January 14, 2018, with his loving wife Betty by his side after a courageous nine year battle with cancer.
Jim was born on March 21, 1954, in Hartford, the son of the late Emil and Leona (nee Gass) Rahlf and on August 31, 1974, he was united in marriage to Betty Krause at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.
Jim worked as a machinist for Slinger Manufacturing for 37 years. In his free time Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed playing poker and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Those Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 43 years, Betty; three children, David (Kari) Rahlf of Kewaskum, Eric (Elizabeth) Rahlf of Stafford, VA, and Wendy (Troy) Kinley of Neenah; six grandchildren, Taylor Rahlf, Haley, James, and Alexandra Rahlf, and Evelyn and Cole Kinley; three sisters, Joyce (Lawrence) Hug of Kohlsville, Patricia (James) Stoffel of Allenton, and Mary Jean (Dale) Kedinger of West Bend; two brothers, Lloyd (Dee) Rahlf of Nevada and Jerome “Butch” (Ann) Rahlf of Neenah; four sisters-in-law, Marilyn Rahlf of Brookfield, Arlene Rahlf of Kewaskum, Claudia Rahlf of Hartford, and Mary Jane (Danny) Deering of West Bend; a brother-in-law, Allen (Marilyn) Krause of Spencer; a close friend, Mike Phillips of Hubertus; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by four brothers, Don Rahlf, Walter “Wally” (Emily) Rahlf, Roy Rahlf, and William “Bill” Rahlf, and his parents-in-law, Allen and Novella Krause.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jim will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 8883 Forest View Rd, in Kewaskum. Rev. Edwin Kornath will officiate and inurnment will follow at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018, at St. Matthias Cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
The Rahlf family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all the doctors, nurses, family, and friends who have helped over the past nine years.
