Jane S. Chapman, nee Mintzlaff, 75, of West Bend, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital, West Bend.
She was born on February 28, 1935 in Horicon to the late Erwin and Leona (nee Maaske) Mintzlaff. Jane attended St. John's Lutheran School and graduated from West Bend High School in the class of 1953.
After high school she attended cosmetology school and worked as a cosmetologist for several years. She then went to work at Amity Leather, where she was employed for over 30 years. Jane also continued to maintain her cosmetology license through out her life.
Jane was united in marriage to Ronald Chapman on November 25, 1961 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend. Ronald passed away December 27, 2000.
She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend for 71 years and was a member of the St. John's Ladies Aid. She enjoyed needlecraft, cross-stitching, knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She loved a good laugh and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who she watched every day.
Jane was a beloved mother, sister and grandmother and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her two children, Kurt Chapman of West Bend, and Brenda (Anthony) Zancanaro of West Bend; two grandchildren, Bradley and Brett Zancanaro; her twin sister, Jeannette (Don) Cardarelle of West Bend; three brothers-in-law, Robert (Patricia) Chapman of Cascade, Gary (Cheryl) Chapman of Upper Michigan, and Richard Johann of Kewaskum; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ronald, and a sister-in-law, Jeannie Johann.
A funeral service in remembrance of Jane will be held on Saturday, November 27 at 1:00 p.m. at the Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend. Rev. Gerald Presuhn of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church will officiate and entombment will follow at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
