Jane A. Kilby, age 72, of West Bend, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Waukesha Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waukesha.
She was born on January 29, 1940 in West Bend to the late Jack and Adeline (nee Reichert) Kilby. Jane graduated from West Bend High School in the class of 1958. In June of 1958, she was united in marriage to Sylvester Dettmann at St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum.
Jane formerly worked as an Economic Support Specialist for Washington County Social Services.
She earned a blue ribbon at the Washington County Fair for her painting. Jane also enjoyed sheepshead, cribbage, puzzles, reading, casinos, games and gardening.
Jane is survived by her two daughters, Wanda (Chris) Timmons of Sugar Grove, IL and Jennifer (Dan) Collins of Waukesha; three grandchildren, Katelyn Roberts, Jack Roberts, and Jack Collins; four nieces, Debbi (Chuck) Myrhum, Dori (Dean) Hagstrom, Dawn (Mike) Petri, and Denell (Mike Katchever) Staral; other relatives and friends.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Mike Dettmann in 2007; and brother, Downer Kilby in 2012.
Funeral service in remembrance of Jane will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 12:30 pm at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington Street, West Bend. Rev. David Schoob of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
