Jane B. Roecker, (nee Greig), age 82, of the Town of Barton, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on January 2, 1928 in Iron River, MI to the late Charles and Ella (nee Bomaster) Greig. On September 17, 1947, Jane was united in marriage to Edwin Roecker. Edwin preceded her in death in 1995.
Jane was involved in the Good Luck 4-H club when her children were growing up. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and sewing. After her children were raised, Jane began working at West Bend Mutual until she retired in 1993.
She is survived by her seven children, Betty (Robert) Bergstrom of West Bend, Ronald (Patricia) Roecker of Allenton, Judy Roecker of West Bend, Susan (David) Kuckuk of Plymouth, Diane (Gary) Anger of La Grande, OR, Douglas (Cecilia) Roecker of West Bend, and Gary Roecker of Sturtevant; 10 grandchildren, Jeremy and Jodi Bergstrom, William (Stacey) Wittkowske, Michael Wittkowske, Wayne Roecker, Jennifer and Timothy Kuckuk, Brian, Trevor, and Brandon Anger; one great-grandson, Nolan Estes; her brother, James (Evelyn) Greig, of Iron River, MI; two sisters, Ella Mae Herman of Florence, WI and Kathleen (Jack) Kangas of Iron River, MI; other relatives and dear friends.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin; and her three brothers, Richard, Donald and Thomas Greig.
A Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Jane will be held on Friday, January 29th at 12:00 pm at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N. 8th Avenue, West Bend with Rev. Nathan Reesman officiating. Visitation will be at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington Street, West Bend on Thursday, January 28th from 4:00 until 7:00 pm and again Friday at the church from 11:00 am until the time of the mass. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
