Jane “Jean” Rymaszewski (Jakubic), age 88 years, of West Bend, formerly of Grand Marsh, was called home to be with the Lord on June 21, 2023 at Froedtert West Bend Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Jean was born the youngest triplet daughter to Michael and Katherine Jakubic (Weber) on September 23, 1934 in Lannon. She was united in marriage to her second husband Peter Rymaszewski in 1968.
Those Jean leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving children, Paul (Jennifer) Tiedt, Robert (Patricia) Tiedt, and Frank (Barbara) Tiedt; grandchildren, Paul (Shonna Brost), Ryan, Angela, Douglas, Christopher, and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Paul, Bennett, and Anastasia; and many brothers, sisters, and in-laws. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Peter; Jean was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Wanda; and son, Mark Tiedt.
She was known for her cooking and for her fish fry recipe that placed first in Milwaukee when she was working at Mr. L’s. Jean participated in craft shows, local events, and won multiple blue ribbons through the years at the Adams County Fair for her knitting, crocheting, quilting, and gardening. She was ecstatic after earning her GED at age 54 years old. During retirement, Jean continued to enjoy her crafting and hobbies.
SERVICE: A Graveside Service in remembrance of Jean will take place on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 11:00 am at Wood National Cemetery (5000 W National Ave – Milwaukee, WI). She will be laid to rest with her husband Peter at Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI.
Memorials in Jean’s name can be directed to the Washington County Humane Society .
