Janet F. Retzlaff, (nee Eichhorst), age 79, of Kewaskum, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at St. Joseph's Hospital in the town of Polk.
She was born on November 18, 1926 in Milwaukee, and was united in marriage to Milton Retzlaff on May 22, 1948 in Milwaukee.
Janet worked for over 26 years as a cook for Wisconsin Bell in Milwaukee until her retirement in 1989. Shortly after that they moved to West Bend for a short time before moving to Kewaskum in 1991.
Janet is survived by her six children, Jim Retzlaff of Oconomowoc, John (Jeanene) Retzlaff of Hampton, VA, Jeffery (Lori) Retzlaff of Cedar Grove, Jerry (Sue) Retzlaff of North Lake, Mark (Andrea) Retzlaff of Tennessee, and Mary (Keith) Layman of Juneau; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Eichhorst (nee Meloy); her husband, Milton; a granddaughter, Jennifer Retzlaff; a daughter-in-law, Lynn Retzlaff; her mother-in-law, Mary Retzlaff; and a brother-in-law, Glen Retzlaff.
Cremation took place at Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, and burial of her cremated remains will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee. At Janet's request there will only be private family services.
