Janet Stange (Van Vleet), 74, of Random Lake passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at her home under the care of Sharon Richardson Hospice after battling COPD for many years.
Janet was born on March 14, 1947 in Menomonee Falls, the daughter of late Merl Van Vleet and Faye (Calkins) Stange. On October 1, 1966 she was united in marriage to Richard Stange at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Scott. Richard passed away August 7, 2017.
Janet enjoyed playing cards, camping with family, and watching the Packers which at times you would believe she was an assistant coach.
Those Janet leaves behind to cherish her memory include two brothers, Marvin (Mary) Van Vleet and Loran (Beth) Van Vleet of Florida; two sons, Kevin (Tami) Stange of Campbellsport, Todd (Valerie) Stange of Silver Creek; four grandchildren, Traik (fiancée Hailey Hall) Stange, Kailr Stange, Jax Stange and Lena Stange; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Richard Stange.
A memorial service for Janet will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 350 S. Helena Street, in Campbellsport with Rev. Paul Cerny officiating.
Janet’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
The family would like to thank Dr. Smale and all the nurses for the care provided to Janet.
