Janice E. Honeck, 92, of Kewaskum, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Kettle Moraine Gardens in Kewaskum with her daughters at her side.
She was born on July 10, 1918, in Kewaskum, the daughter of the late Ervin and Mabel (Koerble) Koch, and on May 14, 1944, she was united in marriage to Kilian A. Honeck, Jr. at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum. Her husband preceded her in death on July 19, 1989.
Janice was a charter member of Hon-E-Kor Golf and Country Club and a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. She will fondly be remembered as a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan and as one who loved to walk and golf.
Those Janice leaves behind to cherish her memory include five daughters, Beth (Jim) Tesch of Raleigh, North Carolina, Lynn Honeck (Elaine Goddard) of Plymouth, Massachusetts, Jane Honeck (Wayne Diffin) of Freeport, Maine, Kristy (Doug) Schacht and Jill Honeck (Jed Krieger) both of Kewaskum; seven grandsons, Joel (Leela), Kirk (Courtney), Joe, Sam, John, Kilian and Evan; a great-granddaughter, Carolina, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Janice was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Bartelt Jaraczewski.
A Memorial Service for Janice was held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1417 Parkview Drive in Kewaskum. Rev. Troy Swenson officiated and burial of her cremains followed the service in Lutheran Memorial Park in Kewaskum.
The family received visitors at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Lucas Lutheran School are appreciated.
