Jean E. Seeger

Jean E. Seeger, 81, of West Bend, passed away on July 22, 2024, at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.

Jean was born on January 3, 1943, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Shirley (nee Gatzow) Decker. On August 17, 1963, she was united in marriage to Ralph “Chuck” Seeger in Wauwatosa. Chuck preceded Jean in death on December 17, 2023.

What Jean cherished above all else was her family. She took immense pride in raising her children and being a dedicated wife. Jean’s support of her family and community was evident through numerous efforts, which included welcoming three foster children into her home and volunteering at school, church, and many other organizations.

Those Jean leaves behind to treasure her memory include two children, Jeri (Frank) Boysia and Gayle (Ray) Groth; four grandchildren, Frank Boysia, Abigayle Groth, Drew Boysia, and Tim Groth; a sister, Sandy (James) O’Brien; a brother, Arnold (Shirley) Decker; a brother-in-law, Gary Kerslake; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jean was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Kerslake, a sister-in-law, Lois McGarvie, a brother-in-law Douglas McGarvie and a nephew, Aaron Decker

Memorials to Lutheran Counseling & Family Services of Wisconsin or the American Heart Association are appreciated.

In honor of Jean’s wishes, private interment will take place at Arlington Cemetery in Milwaukee at a later date.
