Jeffrey J. Ferguson, 56, of the town of Byron, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 22, 2013, at his home.
He was born on December 5, 1956, in Waupun, the son of Francis and Gloria (Rozek) Ferguson.
Jeffrey was a member of Sons of Zebedee St. John Catholic Church in Byron. He enjoyed bowling, especially at Dan’s Village Bowl in Brownsville. Jeffrey was a proud bowler of a 300 game and had many 700 series during his years of bowling. Jeffrey was an avid Badger fan and enjoyed going to Badger football games. When he was younger, he enjoyed playing softball.
Those Jeffrey leaves behind to cherish his memory include his father, Francis of the town of Byron; a brother, Thomas Ferguson of Lomira; two sisters, Kathryn (Bruce) Sterr of Lomira and Patricia (Albert) Fischer of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota; two nieces, Lauren Sterr and Alexandra Fischer; a nephew, Benjamin Fischer, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his mother and his grandparents.
A prayer service for Jeffrey was held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 p.m. at Sons of Zebedee St. John Catholic Church in Byron. Father Michael Petersen officiated and burial was at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until the prayer service at 5:00 p.m.
