Jeffrey “Jeff” R. Thomson MD, 68, of West Bend passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Jeff was at his home overlooking Little Cedar Lake with family by his side.
Jeff was born in Milwaukee on July 28, 1955, to the late Robert and Diana (nee Leon) Thomson. He grew up in Greendale and graduated from Greendale High School. Jeff continued his studies at Marquette University and received his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his residency in the Transitional Medicine program at St. Luke's Hospital. On June 9, 1984, Jeff was united in marriage to Sarah Palese at Church of the Gesu, Milwaukee.
Jeff was a lifelong member of the Porsche Car Club of America, and he often took his Guards Red Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Targa to autocross events at the old Miller Park Stadium. He was an adrenaline-junkie who loved basketball, football, and a variety of water sports, including boating on the Eagle River chain of lakes. Jeff always enjoyed eating weird foods, especially when traveling the US and the world. He treasured spending quality time with his family, friends, and French Bulldogs: Stella, Frankie, and the recently departed Pit Bull, Roxy. Jeff will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Jeff left behind many who cherish his memory including his loving wife, Sarah Thomson; two children, Jaryd Thomson and Ryan Thomson; two sisters, JoEllen (Edward) King and Jennifer Phillips; two brothers, Michael (Jennifer) Thomson and Mark (Valerie) Thomson; three sisters-in-law, Lisa (Paul) Leister, Linda (Alan) Baker and Angelina Palese; brother-in-law, Luke (Enrique) Palese; along with many other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jeff is preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John Anthony Palese MD, and Dolores Palese; and his brother-in-law, John Anthony Palese Jr.
VISITATION: Jeff’s family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend.
SERVICE: A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m.
GATHERING : After the service, the family would like to invite you to join them at The Norbert restaurant in down town West Bend, one of Jeff's favorite restaurants, for food, drinks and a continuation of memories. The Norbert is located at 115 S Main St., West Bend, WI 53095.
