Jerome "Jerry" Weihert, 68, of West Bend, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.
He was born April 22, 1936 in Waterloo to the late Leonard and Muriel (nee Peroni) Weihert. He married Phyllis Herdt (nee Schulz) on June 20, 1975 in Hartland.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; two sons, Gary (Barbara) of Shawano, and Curtis (Shirley) of Minnesota; three step-children, James (Dawn) Herdt, Jolene (Jody) Gundrum and Jay Herdt, all of West Bend; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon (Robert) Schlieger of Hawkins, and Bernice Hensler of Waterloo; two brothers, Darrell (Jean) Weihert of Hayward, and Neal (Sherri) Weihert of Fort Atkinson; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and Richard.
Visitation will be at the Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, on Saturday, April 23 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Hwy. Z & German Village Rd., at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Paul Reede will officiate and burial will follow in Newark Cemetery in the town of Barton.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Smale, the staff of St. Joseph's Community Hospital, and the staff of the Samaritan Health Center, for the wonderful care they gave to Jerry during his illnesses.
