Jerred C. Gerlach, 22, of Horicon, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.
He was born on May 11, 1992, in West Bend, the son of Kenneth and Sandra (Wiedmeyer) Gerlach. At the time of his death, Jerred was employed by Town and Country Construction in Mayville as a mechanic and equipment operator.
Jerred loved collecting cars, motorcycles and pickups, listening to country music, hunting and fishing up North and spending time at the cabin. He devoted his life to work around his home and was a dedicated, genuine friend to many. He had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back to help anybody. Jerred will be deeply missed by his parents, his family and by all who were touched by him in their life.
Those Jerred leaves behind to cherish his memory include his parents, Kenneth and Sandy Gerlach of Theresa; his brother and sister, Josh Gerlach of West Bend and Melissa (Christopher) Walsh of Campbellsport; two nephews, Dylan Walsh and Mitchel Walsh; a niece, Grace Walsh; his paternal grandmother, Jeanie Gerlach of Beechwood; his maternal grandparents, Fritz and Judy Wiedmeyer of West Bend; his aunts and uncles, Mike (Mickie) Gerlach, Jim (Sandy) Gerlach, Chris (Linda) Gerlach, Clint (Deanna) Gerlach, Peter (Michelle) Wiedmeyer, Michael (Jessica) Wiedmeyer, Todd (Kris) Wiedmeyer and Rodney (Ann) Wiedmeyer, other relatives and many friends.
Jerred was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Raymond Gerlach and his maternal great-grandmother, Pearl Kedinger.
Funeral services for Jerred were held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2014, at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum. Rev. Mark Eckert officiated and burial was at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday in Beechwood Union Cemetery in Beechwood.
Jerred's family greeted relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.
