Joan Marie Struebing (nee Boegel), 86, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.
Joan was born on August 16, 1938, in West Bend, to the late Oscar and Lucy (nee Wietor) Boegel. Joan was united in marriage to Robert Struebing on May 6, 1961.
Those left to cherish Joan’s memory include her husband, Robert Struebing of 63 years; her children Janel (Roger) Carter, Ann Marie (Cory) Schultz, and Michael (Carrie) Struebing; Nana to Kolby Schultz, Riley Schultz, Kale Schultz, Madeline Struebing and Isabelle Struebing; her siblings, William (Barbara) Boegel, James Boegel, Lucy Mae (Tom) Bartelt and Margaret (Lee) Meyer, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her son Jeffery; brothers, Lambert, Norman, and John Boegel; and by her sisters Mary Ann Luedtke, and Rita Boegel.
Joan enjoyed puzzles, sewing, horseshoe, trips to Shawano and Eagle River, music, and spending time with her family and friends.
The family extends a special thank you to Froedtert West Bend Hospital 3rd floor nurses and medical team, and the care givers of the Horizon Home Care and Hospice, who are angels on earth.
VISITATION: Joan’s family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main Street, Kewaskum, WI, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
MEMORIAL MASS: A mass for Joan will follow visitation at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with Father Patrick Magnor officiating the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made in Joan’s memory to your local dementia support and research group.
