Joan L. Rittenhouse (nee Wendlandt), age 78, of West Bend, entered eternal life joining her husband, brother, mom and dad on Friday April 3, 2015 at the Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk, West Bend.
Joan was born on December 24, 1936 in Milwaukee to the late Paul and Lucille (nee Schallenburg) Wendlandt. She was united in marriage to John J. Rittenhouse who preceded her in death on September 26, 1988. Joan was a crafter and loved scrap booking, reading books, and camping. She especially loved her dog Socks.
Joan is survived by her four daughters, Renee Mitchell Rittenhouse, Sharon (Chris) Nelson, Karen Pavlak, and Lori Lindmeier Rittenhouse; a niece who was like a daughter to her, Bonnie (Brian) Feltz; five grandchildren, James Mitchell, John C. Nelson, Kayla Rittenhouse, Diedra Rittenhouse, and Ashley Rittenhouse; a special great-niece and nephew, Sherry and Billy Feltz; three sisters, Nola Hodorowski, Dawn (Robert) Paulson, and Lynn (Leo) Weber; a brother, Gary (Debra) Wendlandt; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband "Jim", Joan was also preceded in death by her brother Paul Wendlandt.
A visitation in honor of Joan will be held on Tuesday from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315. W. Washington St. West Bend).
