Joanne F. Fenske, 74, of Hartford, formerly of St. Michaels, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the town of Polk.
She was born on July 2, 1937, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Albert and Julia (Fessler) Weske, and on April 28, 1962, she was united in marriage to Bernard “Bud” Fenske in Milwaukee. Bud preceded Joanne in death on October 7, 2002.
Joanne was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michaels.
Those Joanne leaves behind to cherish her memory include two daughters, Suzanne (Greg) Frederick of Boise, Idaho and Constance O’Connell (Dennis Lawrence) of Iron Ridge; three grandchildren, Aimee Jo O’Connell, Andrew Gruber and Sarah O’Connell; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Art (Eleanor) Weske of Brookfield and James (Marge) Weske of Germantown, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Joanne was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Richard and Kenneth Weske; a brother-in-law, Karl (Mariam) Stuhmar and a sister-in-law, Pat (Karl) Stuhmar.
A Memorial Mass for Joanne was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2011, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michaels. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial of her cremains followed in the parish cemetery.
Joanne’s family received visitors at the church on Friday from noon until the time of Mass.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Joanne’s arrangements.
