Joanne M. Link, age 70, of West Bend, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.
She was born on March 12, 1935 in the town of Farmington, the daughter of the late George and Sarah (Gahagan) Fay.
Joanne was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michaels and St. John of God Catholic Chapel in the town of Farmington. During her working years, she was employed in a secretarial position with the West Bend Company and Shelton F. Boyd Company both of West Bend. Her last place of employment was with the American Legion State Headquarters in Milwaukee.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl (Bryan) Christensen of Nashville, Tennessee; two sisters-in-law, June Fay of West Bend and Mae Fay of Boltonville, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert Fay, two brothers, Thomas and Eugene Fay and a sister, Sharon Petermann.
A Memorial Mass was held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 8877 Forest View Road, Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial of the cremains followed in the parish cemetery.
Visitors were received on Saturday at the church from noon until the time of services.
