John Clifton, of Mayville, passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 79 . He was born on May 27, 1945 to Mary & Estel Clifton Jr. During his younger years, John often spent time with his beloved cousins at his grandparents home forming close, lifelong bonds. He attended South Division High School where he played football. He married Susan and started a family. During this time he owned the Golden Mushroom tavern, loved demolition derbies and riding his motorcycle. He held many part time jobs while also working at the Falk Corporation, where he began as a time clock operator and worked his way up to being the Director of Quality Management during his 42 years there. John earned a Master's Degree of Finance and a Master's Degree of Business Administration. He traveled the world for business as his work with statistical quality control analysis was widely respected and in demand. After the loss of his wife Susan, John married Diane. They moved to Mayville, where he enjoyed his hobby farm with steer, goats and horses. He loved the beauty of the land. In retirement John took an interest in the stockmarket and passed the series 7 exam to become a licensed broker. He was also an avid reader, skilled artist, and a quick witted genius with an insatiable appetite for learning and chocolate cake. He loved boxing, meditation and especially delighted in spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Diane; his 4 children: John Jr., Amy (Danny) Campos, Joel Hoecherl, Julie (Chris) Grobner and his three siblings. He is further survived by his 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, along with other cherished relatives and friends.

He was reunited in heaven with his grandparents, parents, wife Susan, daughter in-law Bri, many good friends and relatives.
