John H. Vorpahl, Jr., 63, of the town of Barton, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2007, at his home.
He was born on February 16, 1944, in West Bend, the son of the late John Anthony and Dorothy (Theusch) Vorpahl, and on March 9, 1963, he was united in marriage to Teresa Coulter at Salem United Church of Christ in the town of Wayne.
John was a board member of Puppyland Humane Society, Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa, five children, Thomas (Sherry) Vorpahl, Donna Mae (Steven) Crass, John Vorpahl, Jr. and Lawrence Vorpahl all of West Bend and Jeffrey (Dawn) Vorpahl of Kewaskum; five grandchildren, Kyle John, Tyler Steven, Brent Thomas and Autumn Grace Vorpahl and Skylar Lee Crass; three step-grandchildren, Montana, Matthew and Michael Schicker; three sisters, Dolores Kertscher of the town of Wayne, Dorothy (Floyd) Buddenhagen of Florence and Theresa Anne (Gerald) Brockman of Milwaukee; three sisters-in-law, Audrey Vorpahl of Columbus, Louise Vorpahl of Mauston and Ann Vorpahl of West Bend, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by three brothers, Frederick, Anthony and Ronald Vorpahl; a sister, Adeline (Elmer) Footland, an infant brother, an infant sister and a brother-in-law, Allen Kertscher.
In honor of John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Private funeral services will be held.
