John H. Yogerst, age 61, of Kewaskum, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital in West Bend.
John was born on October 22, 1948 in Milwaukee to the late Norman and Agnes (nee Ludwig) Yogerst. He was united in marriage to Susan Wilke on September 12, 1970 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menomonee Falls. John was a machinist at Kearney and Trecker for many years. He later worked for Mercury Marine until his retirement. John enjoyed woodworking and fishing, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife his loving wife Sue of 40 years; two daughters, Rebecca (Matt) Miller of Fredonia, and Amy (Jason) Damrow of Kewaskum; four grandchildren, Samantha and Sydney Damrow, and Aiden and Zakary Miller; two sisters, Marlene (Lyle) Schacht and Mary Rose (Eugene) Herther; five brothers, Paul (Edie) Yogerst, Peter (Heather) Yogerst, Mark Yogerst, Raymond (Jill) Yogerst, and Henry Yogerst; and his mother-in-law, Jane Wilke. He is further survived by many close relatives and special friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Agnes Yogerst; two sisters, Karen and Rita Yogerst; his father-in-law, William Wilke; and a special brother-in-law Jack Kratzer.
A graveside service in honor of John will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 11:30 am in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the cemetery chapel on Friday from 10:00 am until 11:15 am.
