Joseph N. Garman, 79, of Campbellsport, passed away at his daughter’s home in West Bend on Wednesday, October 4, 2006.
He was born on February 23, 1927 in North Dakota, the son of the late Jacob and Rosina (Hoffart) Garman, and on November 19, 1947, he was united in marriage to Emma Martian in North Dakota. His wife preceded him in death on April 26, 2002.
Joseph was employed by the Gehl Company in West Bend for over 20 years and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.
Survivors include eight children, Jack (Mary) Garman of Townsend, Montana and their children, Emma Rose, Anthony, Pamela and Claire; Joanne Owen of West Bend and her daughter, Kristin; Dale (Wendy) Garman of Milwaukee and their children, Leah and Rachel; Shirley (Mike) Bruner of Cascade and her children, Sara (Mike) Bonlender, Jackie (John) Maechtle and Amanda; Barbara (Patrick) Storey of Copperopolis, California and their children, Joshua, Joey and Caleb; Anne (Bruce) Katzer of West Bend and their children, Melissa (Barry) Wiskirchen, Brad and Ben; Sheryll (Brian) Matter of Campbellsport and their children, Nathan, Eric, Jessica and Parker; Lois (Fred) Batzler of Campbellsport and their children, Ricky, Justin and Tyler; three great-grandchildren, Kendell, Blake and Brock; his twin brother, Mathias Garman of West Bend; two sisters, Pauline Goetz of Balta, North Dakota and Maggie Schmidt of Fargo, North Dakota, other relatives and friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by two children, Mary and Richard; a granddaughter, Jamie Owen; a brother, Tony Garman; a sister-in-law, Loretta Garman and two brothers-in-law, Frank Goetz and Mike Schmidt.
Funeral services for Joseph were held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum with Pastor Mike Helwig officiating. Burial was at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church Cemetery in Kewaskum.
Relatives and friends called on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
