Joseph John Strobel

Joseph “Joe” J. Strobel, 87, of Slinger passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Serenity Villa in Slinger.

He was born on August 26, 1935 to the late Rudolph and Marion (nee Knuese) Strobel in Milwaukee, WI. Joe graduated from Milwaukee Tech High School. On February 27, 1954 he was united in marriage to Marianne Hahn in Milwaukee.

Joe was a building inspector for the City of Brookfield and was a union carpenter. He designed and built his own home. Joe enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson with his wife. He loved campfires and going to Long Lake on the weekends. Joe especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Those Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Marianne Strobel; two children, Peggy (Troy) Kuebler of Jackson, WI and Corey (Joy) Strobel of Yorba Linda, CA; four grandchildren, Melinda (Duane) Basterash, Carly (Nunzio) Vallone, Angela (Chris) Dewall, and Adam (Lyndsey) Dziadosz; six great-grandchildren, Makayla Scherr, Evan Kemmeter, Hudson Dewall, Jackson Dewall, Elliott Dziadosz, and Owen Dziadosz; two sisters, Jacqueline (Ronald) Schilling and Joyce Meyer; a brother, John (Cathy) Strobel; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Dziadosz; grandson, Brandon Van Pietersom; two sisters, Joanne Strobel and Judy (Larry) Parks; and a brother, Jerry (Lori) Strobel.

A Memorial Mass in remembrance of Joe will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Hill Basilica – St. Therese Chapel (second floor of Basilica), 1525 Carmel Rd., Hubertus, WI.
