Joyce E. Kempf, 81, of West Bend, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.
She was born on August 9, 1927, in West Bend, the daughter of the late Paul and Anita (Dreher) Dean, and on August 31, 1946, she was united in marriage to Henry Kempf at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.
Joyce was a charter member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in West Bend.
Those Joyce leaves behind include her loving husband, Henry; five children, Diane (Robert) Swanson of West Bend, Sandra (Dr. Mark) Knutson of Dousman, Donna Roos of Fond du Lac, Terry (Sue) Kempf of Evansville and Christine (Glen) Soehrmann of Hubertus; a brother, Paul (Joan) Dean of Kewaskum; two sisters-in-law, Rosie Dean of North Fond du Lac and Karen (Dale) Bell of West Bend, 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a son, Richard and two brothers, Lloyd and Tom Dean.
Funeral services for Joyce were held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2008, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 462 Meadowbrook Drive in West Bend. Rev. Joseph Fisher and Rev. Christopher Raffa officiated and burial followed in Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
Relatives and friends called on Saturday at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
