Judith (Zugg) Carlstrom

Judith “Judy” A. Carlstrom (nee Zugg), 81 of West Bend was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at her home.

She was born on October 3, 1940 to the late Wayne and Florence (nee Lucas) Zugg in Clinton, Iowa. Judy graduate from Davenport High School in 1960. On September 7, 1962 she was united in marriage to William Carlstrom in Davenport, Iowa, then immediately moved to Wisconsin to build their lives together.  Judy’s dream and purpose was to become a wife and mother, but she could not have known what a true blessing she would be to her family in these roles.  She was a devoted and loving wife and mother, but she was also a best friend to Bill and their three girls.  Her family grew to be blessed with grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she cherished.   Judy filled her family’s life with so much energy and joy.  She had a loving-generous spirit, a contagious laugh and an infectious smile.  Judy loved spending time with her family regularly and enjoyed every holiday, capturing each moment with pictures.  Judy was a sweet, kind and compassionate person with a huge heart.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Judy was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Bend.  She enjoyed bowling and loved to dance. Judy was an avid walker and shopper, but her true achievement was the bond she created with her family and personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Those Judy leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 60 years, Bill Carlstrom; three daughters, Lori Carlstrom-Tackes (Marty); Wendy Carlstrom-Brown; and Kim Carlstrom-Weber (Brian); 10 grandchildren, Justin (Lizzie) Kempfer, Travis Tackes, Brandon Tackes, Stephanie Brown, Maxwell Brown, Connor Brown, Spencer Weber, Austin Weber, Alexis Weber, and Zachary Weber; seven great-grandchildren, Veyda, Levi, Fiona, Maisy, Willow, Kendall, and Kinsley; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Carlstrom and Joann Carlstrom; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to Judy and Bill’s parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Shane Weber; sister, Darlene (Jack) Ketelsen; two brothers, Robert (Glenda) Zugg and Jack Zugg; and three brothers-in-law, David Carlstrom, Robert Carlstrom and Jack Ketelsen.

A private family service in remembrance of Judy will be held.
