Judith E. (Schertz) Schulze

August 23, 1943 — August 16, 2015

Judith E. Schulze (nee Schertz), 71, of West Bend, was born into Eternal Life on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Cedar Community with her family by her side.

She was born August 23, 1943 to the late Robert and Olive (nee Haģer) Schertz in Princeton, IL. She graduated College from the University of Western Illinois with a teaching degree. On May 29th, 1969 she was united in marriage to William Schulze in Decatur, IL. Judy was a dedicated student of yoga, tai chi and biking. She loved to read and had a passion for playing bridge in the Popcorn bridge club. Judy was passionate about everything she did in her life, including church, fitness, family, friends, and community involvement to help others. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters and granddaughters. She was a very strong and brave woman who never complained and always had the best outlook on life. Judy was a great mother, wife, aunt and friend to so many; she will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, William; two daughters, Katy (David) Guse of Cedarburg and Peggy (Darren) Olson of Oconomowoc; two granddaughters, Leah Guse and Paige Guse; two sisters in law, Sharon Schertz and Anna Mae Schertz; brother in law, Norman (Barbara) Schulze; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, JoAnn Schertz; three brothers, Robert Schertz, David Schertz, and Richard Schertz.

A Memorial service to celebrate Judith’s life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 3:00 pm at St. James Episcopal Church, 148 S. 8th Ave.) West Bend. Visitation will be at the church Saturday from 1:30 pm until the time of service. Burial will take place at St. James Episcopal Church Columbarium following the service.

Memorials in Judith’s name to the American Cancer Society or St. James Episcopal Church are appreciated by the family.
