Judith G. Topel, nee Habeck, age 69, of West Bend, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in the Town of Polk.
She was born on January 26, 1943, in Wausau to the late Merton and Esther (nee Wienke) Habeck. On September 15, 1962, Judy was united in marriage with Keith Topel at St. John's Lutheran Church in Newburg. Keith preceded her in death on June 11, 2001.
Early on in her career Judy enjoyed working along side her father at the West Bend Daily News. She later worked as a receptionist at Pick Heaters and Sundance Photography.
Judy loved to travel having recently returned from Hawaii. She also enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband. Together Judy and Keith rode cross-country visiting almost every state along the way.
Judy dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her three children, Scott (Jayne) Topel of West Bend, Shelly Rowe of Petal, MS, and Skip (Christine) Topel of Germantown; and seven grandchildren, Todd Hartleb, Kayla Topel, Cory Rowe, Alyssa Rowe, Deven Rowe, special granddaughter Amanda Topel, and Kimberly Topel. She is further survived by her sister, Sally (Richard) Mielke of Dundee; two sisters-in-law, Jan (Ted) Rogne of West Bend, Phyllis (Steve) Voeks of Smithville, MO; a brother-in-law, Neil (Karen) Topel of Montello; as well as other relatives and friends.
A private family graveside service in honor of Judy will be held in Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
