Judith A. Giessen

Judith A. “Judy” Giessen, 72, of West Bend, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at the Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.

Judy was born on August 22, 1943, in West Bend, the daughter of the late Alex and Irene (Krueger) Goeden. On December 29, 1962, Judy was united in marriage to Lyle Giessen at St. Francis Cabrini School Chapel in West Bend.

Judy loved making puzzles and playing games. Judy and Lyle had many adventures touring the countryside in their Model A Ford. She loved her dogs, collecting knick knacks and doing numerous crafts including needle work and crocheting.

Those Judy leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Lyle; three children, Gregory (Laura) Giessen of West Bend, Gary (Adela) Giessen of San Diego, California, and Gayle (Chris) Horneck of West Bend; seven grandchildren, Krystal (Joseph) Thomson, Sam (Jamie) Giessen, Joshua Giessen, Rebecca Giessen, Brianna Giessen, Colton Cavil, and Tanner Cavil; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Lucas, and Mellia Thomson; a sister, Bonnie (Vern) Paruch of Green Bay; a brother, Kenneth (Beth) Goeden of Hot Springs, Arkansas, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by, her parents-in-law, Helen and Joseph Giessen and two sisters-in-law, Barbara Goeden and Patricia (Francis) Dieringer

A memorial service for Judy will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington Street, in West Bend with Rev. Russell Witte-Dycus officiating.

Judy’s family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
