Judith “Judy” M. Brace, 67 of West Bend passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side after her battle with cancer on December 10, 2024 at Lawlis Horizon Hospice Care in Mequon. She was born on December 26, 1956, she is the daughter of Herbert and Bernadine (nee Moran) Brace.
She graduated from West Bend East High School in 1976. She loved camping, fishing, porch sitting with her nephew Mark, people watching and going to Kay’s cabin in Presque Isle. She was an avid Green Bay Packer and Brewer Fan. She often texted her nephews Jeff, Nick, sister-in-law Candee, and brother-in-law Steve during the games to discuss the play-by-play. Her great Niece Summer was like a “daughter” to her since birth. Judy spent most of her free time with Summer, shopping, conversations, and watching movies were some of her greatest memories. She retired from RR Donnelley of West Bend in June of 2024.
Judy is survived by her mother Berna, siblings; Sandy Carter of Georgia, Kay Wamsley (fiancé Dave Lang), Bill (Candee) Brace, Mary (Steve) Nyhouse, Barb (Randy) Bodden. She is further survived by nieces and nephews; Jenny (Bob) Welsch, Jeffery Langlois, Sarah Carter, Russell (Kim) Carter, Mark Wamsley (Amy Szerbowski), Jamie Wamsley, Claire Brace-Barker, Morgan Brace (Jason Petri), Andy Brace (fiancé Jessica Butters), Nick (Lisa) Nyhouse, Katie Nyhouse (fiancé Rich Lally), Ryan Bodden (fiancé Jaclyn Utrie), and Bradley Bodden. Along with great nieces and nephews; Daniel (Hannah) Janeshek, Trevor Janeshek, Luke, Scarlett, Sawyer, Lincoln Langlois, Madison Carter, Summer Wamsley, Mason Bohn-Wamsley, Lilliana & Dawson Nyhouse and Rhett Lally. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father; Herb, brother; Tom, maternal-paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Our family would like to thank the Horizon Hospice doctors, nurses and staff, especially Tammy, Shai, Rebecca, the caring staff at Lawlis Hospice Care, Bell Ambulance, cousins Kathy, Maureen, and Patti for their loving care they gave to Judy. Her loving sister Kay was Judy’s caregiver from the beginning when she was diagnosed with cancer.
Per her wishes there will be no services; her ashes will be scattered in Presque Isle, WI on a beautiful fall day in 2025. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
