Julie E. Walker, 45, of West Bend, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at her residence.

She was born February 27, 1967 in Milwaukee to George and Patricia (nee Berry) Walker. Julie worked in the food service department at St. Colletta's School in Jefferson for many years. She participated in the Special Olympics as a swimmer and was featured on ABC's Wide World of Sports during the 1987 International Special Olympics in Indiana. She also enjoyed dancing, needlework, bowling, and was a huge Green Bay Packers fan.

She is survived by her parents, Patricia (John) Garner of Richfield and George (Dianne Farrell) Walker of Bonita Springs, FL and Milwaukee; a sister, Jennifer (Austin) Bell of Sussex; a brother, Charles Walker of Milwaukee; a step-sister, Beth (David) Sande of Mequon; a step-brother, Michael (Anne) Winters of Mequon; an aunt, Julie (Don) Schneeberger of Key Largo, FL; other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service in remembrance of Julie will be held on Saturday, June 2 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in River Hills. Private burial of Julie's cremated remains will be in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hubertus.

Memorials to Wisconsin Badger Camp, Special Olympics of Wisconsin, or the Washington County Humane Society would be appreciated.
