June A. Demmon, age 80, of West Bend, found peace in the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, February 12, 2014.
She was born on August 16, 1933 in West Bend to the late Durward and Isabel (nee Haack) Demmon. June was employed by West Bend Plating for many years until the factory eventually closed. She then began working for the Cloths Clinic in West Bend until her retirement. June was a long-time member of Fifth Ave. United Methodist Church in West Bend. She enjoyed life and looked forward to meeting with her “McLadies” at McDonald’s every week. She liked taking walks and collecting cans that she would later recycle. June loved to laugh and joke and enjoyed giving people a hard time. She will be remembered for her smile and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
June is survived by her Sister-in-law, Dorothy (Leland) Demmon-Schultz of West Bend; many nieces and nephews; her “McLadies”; other relatives and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Durward and Isabel; three sisters, Cecil Puestow, Viola Kling, and Shirley Demmon; and two brothers, Roland and Clifford Demmon.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 12:00 pm at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington St. West Bend). Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service at noon. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in West Bend.
Memorials to the family would be greatly appreciated.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center and to the staff of Cedar Community Hospice for the loving care and compassion that was given to June.
