June “Tootie” Erickson (nee Wallender), 92, of Brownsville was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 1, 2022 with her family by her side.
She was born on June 6, 1929 to the late William and Bertha (nee Salzmann) Wallender). She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Morris Erickson, on May 14, 1949 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac. June was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for many years. June loved gardening, cooking, reading, wordsearches, and making crafts. Together her and Morry enjoyed fishing in Birchwood, WI. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Those June leaves behind to cherish her memory include her three children, Marcia (Daniel) Valle of Brownsville, Mary (Dan) Dalle Nogare of West Bend, and Laurie (Michael) Marvin of Kaukauna; daughter-in-law, Claudia Erickson of Fond du Lac; nine grandchildren, Joel (Vicki) Valle, Dawn (Rustin) Billings, Angela (Brett) Kaehler, Danielle (Dave) Kubal, Melissa (Corey) Sanders, Jennifer (Allen) Kiernan, Amanda (Nathan) Bodden, Kelli (Derek) Harmsen, and Keith Erickson; 20 great-grandchildren; her sister, Ann Meyer; sister-in-law, Judy Wallender; former son-in-law, John Muentner; special friends and neighbors, Jim and Kris Young; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Erickson; her son, Michael Erickson; grandson, Michael Marvin; three brothers, Robert (Patsy) Wallender, Norbert (Karilyn) Wallender, and William Wallander; brother-in-law, Howard (Jean) Erickson; and other close relatives.
Memorial Service for June will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (605 Highland Ave. – Brownsville, WI 53006) with Pastor William Carter officiating. Service will be lived streamed at www.facebook.com/stpaulsbrownsville/live
June’s family will greet relatives and friends at Church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.
