Karen Lee Miller

Karen L. Miller, (nee Lemke), age 48, of Kewaskum, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2006 at St. Joseph's Hospital in the Town of Polk.

She was born on May 13, 1957 in Detroit, MI to Cassius and Betty (nee McDonald) Lemke who loved her very much. She was raised in Cheboygan, MI and eventually moved with her family to Newburg where she graduated from West Bend East High School in 1976. She was united in marriage to Robert Miller on July 29, 1978 at St. John's Lutheran Church in West Bend.

Karen was the assistant wall coverings manager at Menards. She enjoyed her work and had been with Menards since they came to West Bend. She loved traveling and especially enjoyed camping. Nature was a big part of her life; she loved plants, and enjoyed gardening. She was also passionate about wolves and humming birds.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert; she was the devoted mother of Jason Allen Miller (girlfriend Tanya Loging) of Berlin, and Justin Adam Miller (fiancAC.e Becky Merkel) of Kewaskum. She is further survived by her parents, Cassius and Betty Lemke of Newburg; her father-in-law, Silas D. Miller of West Bend; her sister, Kathryn Johnson of Newburg; her aunt, Violet Goerg of Milwaukee; a niece, Lorrie Frost of Newburg; four nephews, Adam Schultz of Newburg, Garrett and Glen Miller of Black River Falls, and Nick Miller of Madison; her two miniature pinchers, Callie and Whizzr; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Connie Miller; her brother-in-law, Glen Miller; and her dog, Rusty.

A funeral service to celebrate Karen's life will be held on Friday, March 3rd, at 7:00 pm at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service of West Bend. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, at the funeral home, from 3:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will take place on Saturday, March 4th, at 10:30 am in Washington County Memorial Park.
